Heart&Stroke Walkabout™

Heart&Stroke Walkabout™ is a program to help build a culture of walking in Nova Scotia. It provides resources to support walkers and communities trying to integrate walking into daily life. The overreaching goal of this initiative is to increase the percentage of Nova Scotians who accumulate at least 30-60 minutes of walking most days of the week, for recreation and/or as a form of active transportation.

The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia is currently researching non-fundraising walking events in Nova Scotia to determine whether there is a role for Walkabout™ in supporting walkers participating in various events.

The purpose of this questionnaire is to gather information on non-fundraising walking events in the province and to investigate how we can best connect Walkabout™ to these events. The survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete. Your feedback is anonymous. You may choose to end the questionnaire at any time. Please complete survey by Wednesday, August 12th, 2009.
